Manuscript Assessment + Revision Plan

Yui will complete a careful read of your entire manuscript and provide you with a broad assessment report, including concrete recommendations for making organizational changes, taking into consideration your target audience and the main ideas of your research. The assessment also covers major issues such as argument, evidence, flow and authorial voice, and clarify areas that require more work and why.  In-text comments are not provided, though Yui may add a few suggestions just to clarify points or provide specific examples. This plan includes a thirty-minute follow up Zoom meeting to discuss your report or to brainstorm ideas. 

Turnaround for book manuscripts is 30-45 days and two weeks for journal articles and edited volume chapters. Cost: 4¢ per manuscript word

Plan Two

Editorial Assessment with In-Text Comments

Plan Two is an add-on service for authors who have already received Plan One but would now like comments directly on the text. Yui provides in-line suggestions and feedback added directly on the manuscript using the track changes and comments features on Microsoft Word. This service is also recommended for authors who have limited time to make their revisions before re-submission and would like to receive more hands-on assistance to navigate the process of polishing their manuscript. The plan includes a thirty-minute follow-up consultation to discuss Yui’s suggestions or to workshop ideas.
