My vision

As a former tenured professor, I am an experienced reader and writer who have edited dozens of scholarly texts, including monographs, journal articles, edited volume essays, dissertations, and thesis papers. I believe that concision and clarity are at the root of good writing. Through careful listening and attention to detail, I provide academic writers concrete steps for creating the ideal version of their work. I truly understand the challenges and stresses of being an academic and will ensure that your manuscript is treated with the same level of professionalism, integrity, and care I put into my own scholarly works.

Aun name and logo

After leaving academic life in 2017, Yui Suzuki founded Aun Learning & Research in 2018. The name is taken from the Japanese word a-un (阿吽), a transliteration of the two symbols “a” and “hūṃ.” It is a term related to the breath, to the idea of the beginning and end of all things, and to harmonious relationships and non-verbal communication. The business logo is based on kumo, the traditional Japanese cloud motif.  In Chinese, the word for cloud yun (云), is pronounced the same as yun (运), meaning “luck” or “fortune.” In Asian art, the cloud motif may represent a heavenly vehicle for the gods and the life force (qi 気 or praṇā) that permeates the universe. The three clouds in the logo embody these meanings as well as change, movement, and convergence.
